Operation description:
The “Platform for connecting 3E tourism in the Mežica valley” project combines natural heritage, natural values, tourist providers and thematic routes, as a tourist potential of the Mežica valley and connects them to a common tourist offer for the local population and foreign guests. By creating an interactive platform, a mechanism for the use of modern communication, promotional and navigational means is put in place, which is aimed at marketing sustainable tourism in the Mežica valley area. Based on this mechanism and using modern technologies (GPS-navigation, the web), the visitor can acquire new knowledge about the ecological, ethnological and culinary characteristics of this area. The purpose of this tourist product is to satisfy both domestic and foreign guests using new innovative ways of integrating domestic potentials (population, knowledge, resources) and thus, in the broadest sense, affect the 3E tourism of the Mežica valley. This way of communication also provides the widest and quickest promotion of the area outwards.
The goal of the operation
Project objectives operations can be divided into general and special. The overall objective of the project is certainly to promote sustainable tourism through social inclusion, environmental sustainability and economic development, in order to use the local potentials of the Mežica valley. The specific objective of the project is to establish a mechanism for the use of modern communication, promotional and navigational means for marketing sustainable tourism in the area of the valley of the Međimurje – experience, education of vulnerable groups and other stakeholders through experiencing tourism and participation in sustainability-experience and promotion, presentation of endogenous potentials and opportunities the use of the 3E tourism platform in the Mežica valley-education region.
Targeted activities to achieve goals
In order to achieve the set goals, a digital profile will be created for networking of the thematic routes of the Mežica valley, digital profile for immovable cultural heritage, digital profile for natural values, natural resources, digital profile for tourism providers, digital map making, including all digital profiles, creating sub-web pages, providing education for the local population regarding the possibilities of using and further development of the interactive platform, making brochures and leaflets about the natural and cultural potentials of the Mežica valley and promotion and informing the public about the project.
The expected result of the activity
The expected outcome of the activity is the establishment of a new tourist product – an interactive platform for the marketing of 3E tourism with an integrated digital map, a description of thematic paths, natural values, cultural heritage, tourism providers and the possibility of obtaining geoinformation data for navigation in the nature to gain the experience of tourist stakeholders). The result of the activities is also the education of vulnerable groups and other stakeholders through the experience of tourism and participation in ensuring sustainability and promotion, the presentation of endogenous potentials and the possibility of using the 3E tourism platform in the Mežica valley area.
